Shema Yisroal
Yishai is wearing a childrens size "Shema Yisroal"
which translates to "Hear O Israel"
It comes in a soft grey cotton with blue long sleeves, good for any season.
After the Holocaust in Europe there were many Jewish Orphans who were
living in Christian Orphanages and had forgotten about their Jewish
Identities.
Famous Rabbis asked to enter these Orphanages for a few minutes at a
time in search of lost Jewish children. They would yell out "Shema
Yisroal" loudly.
Some of the children would begin to cry. They would remember many
years ago hearing and learning the Shema. With the Utterance of these
two Hebrew Words many Jewish children were saved and returned to their
Jewish Roots.
The "Shema" is one of the most powerful prayers of the Jewish people.
This shirt comes in children sizes 4,6 and 8 and is 18 dollars.
